RUBBER-BASED ADHESIVES

We offer two major product lines: Cold Bonding and Hot Bonding

RUBBER-BASED ADHESIVES

Adhesives for COLD BONDING

A crosslinker/activator is required for adhesion without applying heat. It is used for bonding and repairing vulcanized rubber sheets to metal and to each other.

CHLORINATED SOLVENTS

These do not ignite when exposed to flame and are used for almost all types of rubber. For example: JENETACK-1
  • Non-Volatile Solids (1 h @ 105°C): 14-16%
  • Specific Gravity at 25°C: 1.370 – 1.430
  • Brookfield Viscosity at 25°C: 3000 – 4000 cps.
  • Shelf Life: 2 years (temperature <25°C)

NON-CHLORINATED SOLVENTS

These also do not ignite when exposed to flame and are used for almost all types of rubber. For example: JENETACK-19
  • Non-Volatile Solids (1 h @ 105°C): 13-15%
  • Specific Gravity at 25°C: 0.90 to 0.94
  • Brookfield Viscosity at 25°C: 250 - 450 cps.
  • Shelf Life: 2 years (temperature <25°C)

RUBBER-BASED ADHESIVES

Adhesives for HOT BONDING

Heat application is necessary to vulcanize the compounds and achieve adhesion. It is used for manufacturing Silent Blocks, bridge bearings, expansion joints, and inner linings of tanks and containers.

RUBBER/RUBBER ADHESIVES

Used to bond two unvulcanized rubber compounds together. For example: JENETACK-10N
  • Non-Volatile Solids (1 h @ 105°C): 10-12%
  • Specific Gravity at 25°C: 0.66 to 0.72
  • Brookfield Viscosity at 25°C: 250 - 450 cps.
  • Shelf Life: 2 years (temperature <25°C)

RUBBER/METAL ADHESIVES

Consists of a two-layer system; the first layer is a primer applied to pretreated metal, and once dry, the adhesive is applied over which the rubber compound will bond. For example: JENETACK-31V
  • Non-Volatile Solids (1 h @ 105°C): 24-26%
  • Specific Gravity at 25°C: 0.96 to 1.02
  • Brookfield Viscosity at 25°C: 200 - 300 cps.
  • Shelf Life: 2 years (temperature <25°C)
